Kris Hall
Vice President
Kris is a Vice President with Whipstitch Capital. Prior to joining Whipstitch, Kris spent eight years working on a range of consulting projects spanning transaction advisory, operational diligence, and restructuring/transformational growth strategies. Though previously focused on retail and grocery clients, his passion for food and better-for-you products has grown to be a cornerstone throughout his life.
As a former lacrosse player and college cheerleader, Kris revels in any kind of adventure (except where running is involved). His greatest adventures include traveling out to Australia to see KISS play in concert for great white sharks, becoming a tattoo apprentice (though only lasting one session), and constantly wearing shorts despite freezing temperatures and snow. When not in front of a computer screen, Kris can be found touring local breweries, drinking copious amounts of coffee, and finding unique and interesting new restaurants and cuisines.
In addition to the Series 63, 79, and 82, Kris is a CFA charterholder, a CPA, and received his BS in Finance and Accounting from Villanova University. Kris currently lives in Texas with his adventure-loving wife and beautifully, rambunctious daughter.
Why it’s personal with Kris
“I’ll admit… I’m a foodie. Self-proclaimed at least. I grew up eating basic all-American meals but once I moved out of my parent’s house, my eyes were opened to so much more and so many new cuisines, products, and innovations that I had yet to try. I became obsessed with all things CPG. This was truly solidified when, on my own bachelor party, I insisted that we stop at a Wegman’s so I could show all of my Texas friends all of the interesting offerings they had. Joining Whipstitch moved something I was intensely passionate about to something that I work on all day, every day. Working with founders of innovative and upcoming brands in the better-for-you space and enabling these founders to achieve their dreams has been immensely fulfilling.”
