Nate Cronin

Associate

Nate is an Associate with Whipstitch Capital. Prior to joining Whipstitch, Nate was the Finance Manager for the Global Ingredients business of Ocean Spray Cranberries, managing financial analysis and reporting for the cooperative’s large B2B division.

Nate has a passion for learning about the food/beverage industry. His numerous roles in this space include making pizzas and stocking grocery shelves in college, working at a frozen food startup, and working with wealth management clients from the agriculture and restaurant industries. In his free time, Nate likes to cook with friends and family, hike with his wife and dog, and watch Boston sports.

Nate received his B.A. in Psychology and Health from George Washington University, and his MBA in Corporate Finance and Investment Management from UCLA Anderson School of Management. He currently holds FINRA Series 7, 63, and 79 licenses.

Why It’s Personal

I’m lucky to work in the food business because I’m a curious person, and there’s always something interesting to learn about in this industry. I’m always excited to discover the how and why of a product, whether it’s the people creating it, the ingredients within it, or the methods of making it. There’s usually a fascinating story of entrepreneurial passion to create something that consumers will love. I’m eager to hear those stories. This work is personal for me because I love to learn, and our role allows us to dive into the details and trends of the businesses and categories with which we partner. The food/CPG industry is an endless source of creativity and drive, and I continue to learn so much from the people behind these products.
